What's worse: Giving birth, or getting kicked in the balls?
Overall, I think a "natural" birth is probably more painful, but in today's world, you women have the option of lots of drugs to take away the pain. If you don't want the drugs, thats your choice if you want to go through the pain. You get nine months to prepare for it, have lots of coaching and classes, and people to support you to get you ready for it, and when its all said and done, you have a beautiful baby to show for it. I will say, however, that the healing process afterwards is a pain in the AS*. The fellas, however, always have their boys hanging out there, just waiting for a wayward knee, a desk corner, mad girlfriends foot, whatever. A shot to the nuts could happen at any time, and without warning. From experience, I can say it is a bitterly painful experience. I've had it happen 5 times in my life, and each time was horrible. I've broken both my arms, my shoulder, dented my knee to the bone, and impaled my leg with a 4 inch stick, and I would still say the shear pain of a nut shot was just as bad, or even worse, than any of these. The only positive (if you want to call it that) is that my boys are usually only sore from 7-10 days (compared to healing after child birth). But again, you aren't left with anything good to show for it either. Given the two situations, and being obviously biased as I'm a guy, I'm going to say getting kicked in the nuts is overall worse than a woman giving birth |
