As I slowly turn out the light,
Setting aside my burdens, turning in for the night. She’s there. A dream, a fantasy, Ever so dear. She’s my perfect lady, The one for me, my one and only. But she’s only an illusion. A figment of my imagination. What else can I settle for? The real one, I have never met before. All I have to bring her to life When I rest my head and out goes the light. Skin so soft. Colour, sandal wood brown. A smile to turn even the most rigid frown. Hair black as night, Eyes wide, star lit bright. Body, that sways to natures rhythmic beat Stealing my soul, as I massage her feet. Blessed to behold this beauty, Blessed by this vision of ecstasy. Alas, what can I do? A dream, eyes, shut, she isn’t true. What’s the deal? Why can’t she be real? I can’t open my eyes, afraid of our loves fate Don’t open your eyes curt, just a few more hours, It’s not that late. Just one more minute with you, is what I’d rather Times slows, minutes crawl, the world…..halts, No bother. Reality sets, this is all fake, Just this once Lord, tell your son his fate. You know what?It doesn’t matter. Cause really and truly, I prefer the later. To dream, and fall away. Into love, every night, all over again. What can I say? This one is mine, My empress divine. So as I wake, To the sorrowful arms of goodbyes embrace. Am ok……... I’ll be back, to her I will return As soon as time permits me. With the hopes that one day My dream lady with come to be. The one we all wait for, that one for me. So until such time, patiently I wait. Fore she’ll be on her way….one day. Into my life, hopefully here she’ll stay. As for me, I’ll be ready. Ask as you may, for what do I prepare? Am getting ready, ready to treat her like……. My dream lady. |
