She slapped her thigh she got that one, the mesquito's  were out in full-force tonight and she was the main course. She watched the local business men sitting across the street in their office. They would be closing for the night  in a while. A black SUV pulled up and business was being transacted so Tia  decided  it was safer inside as she entered her humble home. It was only 3 am so she decided to give sleep another try. It came easy this time.

Things were going well for Tia and her family, even better than she could hope for. Edwin was at home in the evenings and she rearranged her patient load to accommodate her family time. The children enjoyed their fathers attention and Tia could not be more pleased with her husbands new found devotion. It was Thursday and the night  Tia  usually made rounds at the hospital. But tonight she had traded duties with Dr. Simmons  as a favor, so Tia decided to surprise her husband  and show him  that she was glad he was back in her life. So Tia stopped at the store and picked up a bottle of wine and headed home. She called her mother and told her she would pick the kids up in the morning. As Tia entered her home it was dark,  so she made her way to the back of her house and the master bedroom.  Tia heard soft music playing and smelled the aroma of scented candles. She opened the door to see her bed in shambles as she took in the condition of her bedroom, there was clothes every where and they weren't hers.  The bathroom door was ajar as she pushed it open her world collapsed. Edwin her husband, the man she loved and adored was in the shower making love to another woman. She could not take her eyes away, why hadn't the floor open up and swallow her? Why had she not just dropped dead because her broken heart had stopped beating.
