We held each other close till the sun lit up the sky it seemed we had just begun when it was time to say goodbye You whispered words of love to me and I held you to my heart wondering when the day would come when we would have to part I remember every smile you gave your walk,your talk,your touch I wished that time would just slow down and wondered why there was a rush You brought a light into my eyes you gave me many things but most of all you gave me love my heart just wanted to sing But as we counted on our tomorrows life storms ruined our plans the tomorrows that we had hoped for slipped right through our hands we forgot that life is for loving and for holding someone near we got caught up in everyday problems and caught up in everyday fears I wanted to be your happiness to hold you close each night but an angel came and held your hand and took you from my sight I know now that I have to wait and wait is what I will do for the angel to come and take my hand and lead me back to you.. ©copyright M.Foden 2005...

In the middle of the night you call to shed some tears We talk for hours on end as I help dispel your fears We laugh and tell some jokes remembering days gone by we talk about our friendship and then you ask me why “Why did you take my call when I know you were asleep?” I tell you it’s because “I have promises to keep” I promised I'd be there if you knocked upon my door or if you called me on the phone ‘cause that’s what friends are for I value all your love we've walked so many miles you've stood by me in sorrow you've taught me how to smile So if you ever need me to comfort and console please know I'll always answer cos that's what friends are for. © Copyright Marilyn Foden Dec 05...
