We held each other close till the sun lit up the sky it seemed we had just begun when it was time to say goodbye You whispered words of love to me and I held you to my heart wondering when the day would come when we would have to part I remember every smile you gave your walk,your talk,your touch I wished that time would just slow down and wondered why there was a rush You brought a light into my eyes you gave me many things but most of all you gave me love my heart just wanted to sing But as we counted on our tomorrows life storms ruined our plans the tomorrows that we had hoped for slipped right through our hands we forgot that life is for loving and for holding someone near we got caught up in everyday problems and caught up in everyday fears I wanted to be your happiness to hold you close each night but an angel came and held your hand and took you from my sight I know now that I have to wait and wait is what I will do for the angel to come and take my hand and lead me back to you.. ©copyright M.Foden 2005
