Life
As futile as it may seem, I pray that all the nations of the world would be repast with adequate food and water, and in this 21st century, we being the children of the same Creator, will seek with all of our hearts and souls, to "see" through God's eyes, and "feel" with God's heart for each other. That we would move from the law of retalitation [Lex Talionis], to true reconciliation, thus fulfilling God's desire, "That we would love the Lord Thy God with all thine heart, and all thine soul and all thine mind, and that we love "each other" as we love ourselves.

STUPEFIED
STUPIFIED The Constitution is definitely a sacred document The Bill of Rights, is the same, no argument The Constitutional Amendments were put in place To protect every creed and race The Founding Fathers were very diligent At the inception of our Government Judicial, Congressional and Executive branches were enacted To prevent Citizens right from being protracted And yes, September 11 was an egregious evil By fanatics laboring for the devil Our Government had to stand up and fight To enforce what is right But after life, freedom is second and quintessence A most exceptional and great experience So, we should not allow one man to think he is above the law Because if we do, would freedom, be worth fighting for? © Sheriff Ali 2006 Author’s Comments “The liberties we talk about defending today were established by men who took their conception of man from great religious tradition of Western civilization, and liberties we inherit can almost certainly not survive the abandonment of that tradition.” (Walter Lippman) So yes, I am stupefied, because liberty is itself the highest political end and not a means to a higher political end. Thus, is life so dear and peace so sweet to warrant the abandonment of people’s rights? For when liberty becomes a pretext to violate the law, dictatorship is near. I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death! [George W. Bush is the President of the United States, but he is still just a man, and no man should be allowed to violate the “laws of our blessed land.”]
