Life
As futile as it may seem, I pray that all the nations of the world would be repast with adequate food and water, and in this 21st century, we being the children of the same Creator, will seek with all of our hearts and souls, to "see" through God's eyes, and "feel" with God's heart for each other. That we would move from the law of retalitation [Lex Talionis], to true reconciliation, thus fulfilling God's desire, "That we would love the Lord Thy God with all thine heart, and all thine soul and all thine mind, and that we love "each other" as we love ourselves.

NOTE: I have had a BLOG on this site for quite some time. They are mostly poems that I wrote and in some cases articles that I wrote as “editorials.” However, since Vibes upgraded their site, each and every one of my poems and that of other members became one solid paragraph when it was usually in “stanzas” form. I have contacted Vibes on numerous occasions but I have had no response from them. Also, I contacted other members and they do not know how to rectify the problem. Thus if at anytime you need me to send you a poem, just send me a message. Your request should state what subject you would like the poem to be about; love, spiritual, relationships or whatever the subject may be. I have written hundreds of poems and published some of them in an Anthology. I have a new Anthology coming out later in the year. God Bless, Sheriff Ali...

EFFULGENCE
Looking up from my table I saw a paragon
I sensed a feeling that felt like heaven,
Such beauty of a woman God bestowed on earth
This "wonder" preordained before her birth
In her resplendency there were sparkles in her eyes
My breathing placated I thought I would die,
Her steps were graceful it was most amazing
My humble heart stealing apace was now enlightening
What pleasures of beauty this paragon brought to me
I admire her with honesty and unequivocal sincerity,
Speaking with her in just so few words
I pray she will walk on streets paved with gold
In this world that seems to strive on ignorance
Forever, I thank God for this paragon of effulgence...

I have had a blog on this site for quite sometime. Most of what I posted were poems that were in stanzas and proprerly fashioned. Since Vibes updated their site all of my poems along with other members who also posted poems, each and every poem became "one solid paragraph." I have contacted Vibes but to date no response. I have also contacted some of the members, but they like me are stuck in the same predicament. Thus until this problem can be rectified I will keep the blog but I am unable to post any new poems or writings. I trust you will remain faithful as you have always been. Conversing till the break of dawn
Then came that tired yawn,
Calmly you fell into a peaceful sleep
Happy am I, we did meet
Wayfaring for so many years
Certainly you have dried my tears,
Innocent you are of how I feel
Praying with you, as I kneel
Knowing that my love is platonic
I wonder! How ironic?
Never thought love was a one way path
But truly, happy is my heart
All my love to you I give
Nothing you owe, as long as you live,
Peace and happiness I wish for you

WHAT AMAZING GRACE!
What amazing grace
I see on Jesus’ face,
The hands that bled for me
On lonely Calvary
His grace that always makes me weep
Keeps a smile on my cheek,
Fearful I am of this world
But God’s Spirit I behold
I cannot number my blessings
On me, they are continually descending
When life’s fire on me billow
Jesus remains my Halo
On the 25th of December
People everywhere remember,
And Nations of every race
Celebrates His grace!

Look into my world
You may see brave and bold,
Little would you know
No further can I go
Little is much when you are happy
Unhappiness prevails in your times of plenty,
Began a life when everything was hard to find
Endowed with riches, surely made me blind
Giving of love and riches to all
I thought I was standing tall,
How little did I know
Loyalty I did not sow
Rejected by the ones I love
They see a serpent and not a dove,
Hope in this world I no longer see
But for certain, Heaven shall welcome me!

BLESSED ASSURANCE
Atonement from Jesus and the power to save
I, fear not man, life, death or the grave
My security lies in the munitions of my immutable God
And not in bombs, guns or the sword
A free Spirit flying on Eagle’s wings
With joy and happiness, praises I sing
I love my God for His mercy and grace
Without a doubt, I shall see his face
Even when lightning glitters
I have no fear and there are no shivers
In the like manner when the thunder roars
My faith in God certainly soars
His grace and mercy has given me power
I flinch not even in the darkest hour
In this world of upheavals and strife
God is my portion in all of my life!

CRYSTAL – CHANDELIER
In a Desert of dry sand filled with thorns
A Rose may not die but it will certainly mourn
Before you make this choice to be with me
Please take a good look, at all that you see
I have no Mansion on a hill with a Crystal Chandelier
The precariousness of my life, we will live in fear
For you, there will be no dresses for special dances
Necessities of life will be one in a million chances
A peaceful life to have, I must give up all that I earned
For so many decades, happiness is all I yearned
In this difficult decision, I must give up all
Only then I can answer my destiny’s call
All I have to give is standing in front of you
Think once, twice, thrice, before you say I do
Look into the ocean, the myriads of miles of Sea
That silent empty distance, well, that is me!
